Kris

Maria comes from Uganda and Kris is a retired elementary particle physicist from Germany. We had a flower business in Vancouver, BC, Canada named "GreenHills Gifts and Flowers". We recently sold it - with mixed feelings. We don't miss to get up at 4:30 in the morning to go to the flower auction and we don't miss to carry around the heavy water buckets. But we still love flowers and we miss the chats with our customers and the bright morning sunshine at the store. Maria went back to work for the movies and Kris indulges his passion of repairing everything he finds broken and his hobby of sitting at his computer doing graphics and web-site design.
We still have parts of the gifts and flowers stock of the flower shop and both of us still love to go to auctions, movie sales and fleamarkets, but we now realize that this hobby has the inevitable consequence that we have to share our little appartment with all our goodies and snatched treasures. We had in fact to rent a big storage space to house all our gems. We have to part with some of them since we cannot invite any guests anymore. Kris started to sell at Ebay and once in a while we now go to antique shows and fleamarkets as sellers. To see an overview of what we are talking about, please click here
