Introduction:
The Satellit 800 Millennium is a combined engineering effort of Grundig Germany, Lextronix California, USA and R.L. Drake Ohio, USA, and came out in 2000. The receiver gives you the ultimate in features, performance, convenience, and sound. Technologically sophisticated, yet easy and intuitive to use, this is the radio to get for the experienced shortwave listener or a newcomer to the world of international broadcasting. Featuring:
- Synchronous detection to clarify fading signals and reduce interference from adjacent frequencies
- AGC (Automatic Gain Control, fast or slow) to compensate for atmospheric and other conditions
- Three built-in bandwidths for shortwave, using electronically switched IF filters: 6.0, 4.0 and 2.3 KHz
- FM stereo with headphones (not included), VHF aircraft band (118-137MHz)
- SW enhancements extended to BC/AM reception, improving distant and weak AM stations
- 4" built-in dynamic speaker, bass and treble controls
- +9Volt/1Ampere AC adapter included. Also operates on 6 size D batteries (not included)
- Unique memory scan with 70 user memory presets. Scans 10 memory positions at a time
- Line-out jack to connect to home or office sound system
- Traditional analog signal strength meter, large LCD display (6"x3½"), both back-lit
